Describing new scientific insights in such a way that everybody understands. Prof. Bakker - you can call him Arnold - is a master of the craft. As professor of work and organizational psychology, he does know exactly what he is talking - and writing - about. We believe there is no one who knows more about work engagement and proactive work behavior than he does. And we're seriously proud that someone who has been at the scientific top of the world in psychology and management is also one of the driving forces behind workdesign lab Vivic!
Klaas-Jan Reincke
Workdesigner, HR and management expert
Change is always challenging. And sometimes unavoidable. If it is, you could use some good advice and practical support from somebody how knows how change works. Somebody like Klaas-Jan, all-round workdesigner. Since the 90s, as an economist and evaluator, he has been enriching changing organisations with his sharp and positively critical view. KJ likes to challenge people and organisations to think deep and hard about a simple question: "what are we doing?". Let's not measure because we have to, but draw up a good theory-of-change first. And start building from there, with creativity, full of flow and straight towards the goal!
Fenne van den Bos
Trainer, programme manager and creatieve builder
Sometimes you have to sit through a PowerPoint presentation that makes it impossible not to yaaaawn. That tells you at least one thing: it was not designed nor delivered by Fenne. For this creative spirit turns everything into something special. At Vivic, she does that as programme manager and product designer. She combines her training skills with deep knowledge of workdesign. That's how Fenne develops top-level training programmes and interventions. Her mission is to allow people to do what they love. And let them shine. That will make Fenne shine too.

People-centered and warm
For us, it does not matter if you work at a conveyer belt or if you are King of the Netherlands. Everybody is equal and everybody has the right to work in flow: to do what they love and shine at it. We talk and work on the basis of equivalence. When you go on a journey with us, we will give you a safe feeling and the recognition you deserve. This is only natural to us. We're all only human.
Curious and critical
In order to grow, improve and develop, you will have to dare to look into that mirror. We will be sharp all the way, for our clients and for ourselves. We will not back down in the face of hard questions. On the contrary! We always want to know exactly what the situation is and we'll never shoot from the hip. Whenever we do something, we want to know what the result is. And that's why we measure: to be able to improve our interventions and evaluate our own effectiveness.
If you only want to hear socially desirable answers, look elsewhere as we won't be able to help you. We will help you if you have the courage to start something beautiful and work for it.
Daring and full of humor
There's not enough laughter in the world of work, in our view. We feel that world could use some more decoration. That's why we work on the basis of a thorough dose of fun and playfulness in our products and training sessions. And sometimes we cross a line just a tiny little bit. Just to stimulate, break through old patterns, and wake people up a bit. Always respectfully and with a positive touch. After all, we're still people-centered and warm!
This is what we want
Some people have such a catchy laugh that you can't help it: you have to laugh along! That's how it works with flow: it is contagious and transferable. People who are fully engaged in their work are real powerbanks of flesh and blood. They radiate energy to all sides. Without their batteries going flat! You really want people like that in your team and organisation! And that's what we want too: to get and keep them in your team and organisation.
The thing is, that energy, that enthusiasm, that flow is sometimes caught up and locked away, for a range of reasons. Therefore, our goal is:

Wouldn't our own lives be much more pleasant if not just the baker and the delivery guy do their work with energy, fun and passion, but also our doctor, our kids' teacher, the bookkeeper, the plumber, the people collecting our garbage, the police officer, the guy behind the counter, the... well, you know what we mean...

Arnold, Klaas-Jan and Fenne are our core team, but believe it or not: their days too are just 24 hours (and there's much more than just work going in there). And if you know that there are dozens of fantastic workdesigners out there, it's easy to see why we work together so well with them.
These trainers, consultants and coaches have tremendous expertise in their own fields, but they've also successfully finished our Workdesigner training programme. As a result, they know everything about how to make work a great experience, and about flow, work engagement, proactive work behavior, etc. And that makes them smile, you see?
